Local Residents, First Time Guests: The first time you contact Big Bear Pet Lodge for services for your pet, we will make an initial appointment to visit you and your dog, to access the dog’s temperament, and disposition. If the initial appointment is satisfactory, we will set a second appointment for you to visit us where you and your pet can view our grounds, and meet our resident dog. If both appointments are satisfactory, we will schedule a reservation for your pet at Big Bear Pet Lodge. We also require pet owners to leave an emergency contact telephone number for unexpected circumstances that may arise, such as if alternate arrangements need to be made during boarding due to medical or socialization incompatibility issues.
Non-Local Residents, First Time Guests: For non-local residents since we are unable to meet your dog prior to scheduling a reservation, we will rely on the pet owner to expect to stay with their dog for a short period of time when you drop your pet off for boarding, during which time you will view our grounds and meet our resident dog. We also require pet owners to leave an emergency contact telephone number for unexpected circumstances that may arise, such as if alternate arrangements need to be made such during boarding due to medical or socialization incompatibility issues.
Barrier System Notification and Disclosure: All yards at Big Bear Pet Lodge are equipped with a harmless wild life perimeter deterrent system to deter wildlife from coming in, as well as dogs that try to dig, climb or chew out of their kennel, and is used in last resorts for any dog that is demonstrating temperament or disposition issues.
